hello boys and girs, i am readying my self for a conversion to my 1.6 8v mk4, to a 1.6 16v mk5 gti engine, now for a couple of questions, is there any one here that knows of any difficultys to do this or is it pretty straight forward to do, if any one has done it piccys would be grateful cheers

alright mat i had the same problem as you theyr no where near th same shape i sold mine to a mate and his bro in law's an electrician and re wired a VAG plug on it and they work

right struck a problem with my mk4 1.4 8v but its the same method used on all petrol mk4's, the car suddenly overheated, fan wouldn't come on or anything, right after inspectoin of every thing i came accros the problem, as i took the thermostat cap ( the black plastic bit wich the pipe hooks onto ) ...

it's just the ratios that are different is some boxes like a one litre has less power than 1.4 so the 1l box would have a lower ratio gear box for bottom end power and top out bout 110 maxx while the 1.4 will top out bout 125 maxx :D but the acceleration wont be all that but im just not too sure bou...

hi my 8v 1.4 gearbox just gave way and i'm just wandering if the either diesel or 1l box would be better for acceleraton wise or more torque pull if any of these does any one ave a spare one please!!!

mine seems to come from under the glove box regions so im not sure if thats the buzzing

very annoying buzzing noise from behind the dash

tha car is one of the nicest examples of polos i have ever seen mate congrats

snap mate my car has got some very very annoying buzzing coming from the glovebox regions and its driving me crazy!!!! any ideas? any one

good choice on focal's mate if you have the money go for the deerer pair, that little difference in a quality product is very noticable, i'm personaly going for a simular pair but the pheonix gold ones, along the same line of performance

i will agree with the lights, hell i hate lexus lights so much i dont even like them on lexus's any more, and the rear bumper should have stayed standard. but the rest is awesome, i love that colour so so much.
