Re: Scissa's 2015 Polo 1.2 TSI

Second trunk light and trunk net retrofit.

As you all know, the light quality is really poor with this car. There are even some members that install 3rd trunk light.

Process is known and simple, just cut the trunk trim with a proper location and run the wires to the original trunk light.

Removing ...

Glovebox Lightning Retrofit

It is interesting to see that my neighbours 1st gen. Skoda Fabia has this option, whereas no polo got this.

It is a pain to grab something from the glovebox when there is not enough light source.

Procedure is known, but I don't see enough guides about electrical ...

Re: Scissa's 2015 Polo 1.2 TSI

After a long while, i finally found some time to post what i have done in the past. The car gets constantly updates so i am capturing everything during the process.

Since it is a B class, small and compact car, it does not have that many storage spaces. I personally have two sunglasses, and there ...

Re: 2011 Polo 6R 1.2 CGPB - EPC triggered

Does that platform has misfire counter like EA211? While idling the misfire always happens and sometimes ECU does not register it as misfire. Especially for my case, while cold starting and VCDS plugged in the misfire counter goes like 30 i don't know why, but it never triggers EPC light.

I think ...

Re: Scissa's 2015 Polo 1.2 TSI

My coolant bottle also looking yellow. It's just the plastic aging. Heat cycling and engine bay heat will do that.

You think those rubber barriers will affect air flow into the engine bay?

I don't think any air flow will be affected since i consider that gap as a cost cutting measure, whereas ...

Re: Scissa's 2015 Polo 1.2 TSI

Nice idea on the rubber 'D' seals.
How dusty does Turkey get?

I have cleaned my engine bay a couple of times, but the thing never really gets too dirty. Only real problem spots is the frame rails under the battery, etc.

I still want to do a proper clean from underneath and then apply Koch-Chemie ...

Re: 1.4TDI 2016 cranks but no start

Is the ground cable okay? Does it crank healthy, did it lose power before cutting out?
What is the voltage while cranking? Does the car has its power while running?

This issue seems like alternator/fuel related to me. These cars have smart alternators, you need to code your battery to your car with ...

Re: Scissa's 2015 Polo 1.2 TSI

Now, as you know, these cars were built in two plants: Spain and South Africa.
There is one easy way to understand where was your car produced.

The VAG Group uses this kind of VIN algorithm:
First, the country and brand identifier code, for our case it is "WVW"
Then, i guess special section comes ...

Re: Scissa's 2015 Polo 1.2 TSI

Throughout the owenrship, the car just suffered from very dirty engine bay. We didn't care this over the years but at some point it made me mad. So i started to clean everything one by one. After one week, the engine bay was dirty as before. So i started to find a solution and i found this product ...

Dry ice ... interesting. For doing at home I think I'll stick with walnut media as I can re-use it.

See the shape of the intake port... that bump at the top? Look on the intake manifold where it matches that location. Has flat areas that could be injector ports. The intake is already set up for ...

Re: Scissa's 2015 Polo 1.2 TSI

I was thinking to renew the coils also, but everyone told me these coils are rock solid and unless something happens never change them.
I even heard someone made around 200k KMs with these, i think it will not be healthy.

I was thinking to buy some motorsport style HG coils since they are about 25 ...

Re: Scissa's 2015 Polo 1.2 TSI

Happy new year for all :D I wish you will have trouble free year!

Now, if we check the prefixes of 1.0 N/A, 1.0 TSI (which is based on 1.0 N/A), 1.2 TSI and 1.4 TSI EA211 engine families, it is all "04E".
The newer 1.5 TSI uses "05E" prefix. So i made a confusion by writing 1.5 TSI too, sorry about ...
