1.2 9n Pagid rear brake shoes and track control arm

Hi there,

I am clearing out my shed and have a few bits for my old 9n:

-- Pagid rear brake shoes bought from ECP many moons ago, opened but never fit.
-- Front suspension track control arm with bush fitted but w/o ball joint. Bought from Ebay to fix squelching front suspension but turned out to be ...

Re: Problem installing rc for central locking unit

I did this a couple years back on my 9n and it took ages to figure out the wiring for the comfort module.

If you still need help I've PM'd you my email address - drop me a note and I will forward some pdf wiring documents that I used when I fit mine.

Don't worry, I think I'll hold off buying the alternator. My battery has been alright, no power steering lights under load etc... Any idea how to change the tensioner pulley? I have a haynes manual but it doesnt cover that, and is it back to the dealers to get a new one? Can't find it on ECP or GSF ...

No, I've been back and forth from bristol a couple times over the past month which is a 130 miles from my home. Although I have been making urban journeys, mostly at night and nothing less than 5 miles at a time. I have no ICE other than the factory fitted beta stereo. I checked the battery, it's ...

Squeaky cold starts - alternator

I have a 2004 1.2 12v which squeaks on cold starts. These squeaks increase with engine speed but completely disappear after 30 seconds to a minute. I thought it was the drivebelt so I changed that but this only stopped it for a few hundred miles. So out of curiosity, I took the belt off and hand ...

The blue/white wire is located in the loom behind the plastic panel where the bonnet release is for my 9n1. You may need to remove this plastic panel and undo the loom tape covering the wires. This is the locking wire which the remote locking control unit sends a negative pulse through. If you hook ...

Thanks for the info!

Do you know what needs to be changed via VAG-COM eg is it a coding thing or changing adaptation? If you could let me know, I can try it on my car to see if it is feasible to enable cruise control with my cable.

I've recently acquired the VAG-COM cable from ebay, I've had a scan and read fault codes on my car but i dunno how to do anything else. You're welcome to have a go and in return all I ask is what size spline tool i need to get the steering wheel nut off? I am based in south london, but am currently ...

I can't be sure but I think that's one of the hoses that goes into the plastic cover over the engine.

Hope it helps!

Did you upgrade them to the cupra bushes? or were they the standard polo ones?

Also, did it cure the creaking?

Creaking suspension (again, I know...), but please help!

Hello all..

I've got a 1.2 64PS Twist with suspension that creaks when going over speed humps. The sound only comes from the front passenger side since I've driven over humps one side at a time and the drivers side makes no noise. I've had this problem before and the ARB bushes, drop links and ...

Helo there..

Not sure if this helps, but I've had this problem twice now. Does the pedal feel a bit rough also? Like its a bit "rippley"... if you get what I mean? And does this only happen when the engine has warmed up?

If so, it should be the clutch release bearing. As I said, twice it has ...
