On a slightly different topic, when I’ve tried to open the car by just using the key in the lock I find it unlocks the car but the alarm stays on. Is there something you need to do to deactivate the alarm when using the key in the lock?
Thanks

What to use for light scratches?
Hi just wondering what would be the best product to use on light scratches for my silver GTI. I have some Fast colour made my CarPlan. Has anyone used this?
What do you find is the best product?

Wow looks great! 8) Spraying those pillars must have been a tricky job. What even better is it looks like the car was made like that. There are quite a few cars that have those black pillars, as you can see from the ford probe in the background. The alloys look really clean. Have they been refurbish...

My car went in for a service and after picking it up it seem fine but later I noticed the car didn’t sound right and then the next day the engine warning light come on. So took it back to VW only to find out it was one of the spark plug leads which they didn’t have in stock! When I actually got ...

After reading about this induction kit Im also thinking installing one too, but I keep thinking about my car insurance. I found some information about the different ones you can get. The site is http://www.bmcairfilters.com/infoCDA.asp I’m pretty sure it’s the CDA70-130 code for the Polo GTI as ...

I have been thinking about changing my exhaust but I would prefer it slight quieter to some of them that are about. After all you don’t want to set every car alarm off when you go in a car park. Well would be fun I guess just once :D How is your exhaust sounding now then Si? I guess you need an in...

Hi Just wondering does cat-back mean with a catalytic converter? If so then the gain in BHP must be quite small compare to the standard one, but having a catalytic converter on the new exhaust does make things easier when the MOT is due which is good. :) Just to let everyone know if you don’t alre...

Pulling away?
Hi just wondering if anyone else has notice that when pulling away it feels like some of the power doesn’t reach the wheels or maybe is lost because the clutch doesn’t grip. :? I have heard the clutches can go on these cars even if you haven’t done many miles, but through the rest of the gears...
