If it was the coding thing, surely "2 presses" of the key fob would unlock all doors, ie the "anti car jacking feature" where the first press only unlocks the driver's side front door.

Another way to check this could be to use the internal lock/unlock switch - pressing lock should lock all doors ...

Perhaps the problem lies in the BCM coding.
Do you have any diagnostic tools?

If it's a 6R (not a 6C), perhaps that POLO had Byte0 Bit0 activated/enabled in the BCM.
In that case, you just need to deactivate/disable it.

This is my first post on here - I have recently bought a Polo 1.2 match 2014 model and didn't think to check all the doors when i went to pick it up.
The passenger door is confusing me, I can unlock it using the fob and can hear it functioning, how ever the handle on the outside does not do ...
