Size of Polo Steering wheel

Can anyone tell me if the size of a polo steering wheel
is the same as a Golf III item?

Thanks Alex,

That's the only bit I forgot to put.
I don't want to go too low as I have heard that
there are problems with rubbing etc.

Just a sensible 40mm to get rid of the agricultural
ride height and cornering :?

What about bushes, will new OEM ones do?

Budget for suspension set-up - help!

Hi Guys,

I have about £500 to spend on a good suspension
set-up for my 16 valver.

I want to have a good quality ride and good cornering,
it's just for road use and a bit of fun around the lanes :D

I've read that the Koni/Eibach combo is highly recommended
also FK coilovers. Anyone else ...

Best Wheels for a black 16v?

I have the OEM Indianapolis wheels which I quite like,
only problem is they are scuffed to funk and let the whole car down!

Just wondered what my options are.

I love the BBS split rims :D but want to keep to the OEM look if possible.

Thanks!

Parts from a Golf MKII 16v

My mate has a Golf 16v he is breaking
and I just wondered what parts would be transferable
to my Polo 16v, if any, eg. brakes etc.

Rear Wash failure

Hi Guys,

I'm having problems with my rear wash/wipe.
When I squirt water on the rear window it comes out the front washers?
I've tried putting a pin in there to clean out any blockages
but still no luck!!

Has anyone else had this problem?

K&N Panel Filter in 16v

I was thinking of getting a K&N panel filter to go in
my 16v, but I was a bit concerned about all the crap
that comes up from the engine breather pipe.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Not sure if you have a 16 or 8v but here goes:

Take the airbox off and you should see the TB underneath.
(On the 16v) There are 4 torx bolts which hold the TB on
and remember to take the connecting wiring
and accellerator wiring off before removing.

Give it a good clean with carb cleaner (Spray ...

I recently had the same part replaced. (same price)

I have had a few problems with warm starts
and cutting out at low revs.

I cleaned the throttle body by removing it
from the engine and cleaning it with carb cleaner,
that seemed to eliminate the cutting out at low revs.

The warm start problem is ...

16v Died

Gave the Polo a real thorough clean
last week including under the hood.

Tried to start it 1hr after washing it and it wouldn't start!
Gave it some gas while turning the key and it struggled
to start and then ticked over normally.

Drove down to our parents house about 5 miles away
and less than 1 ...
