Any quality brand will do just make sure it's in the sw range and that it's a multigrade not a single grade oil as these have a lower viscocity [thickness] and become thinner a lot sooner than multigrade oils, resulting in shorter times between oil changes and not as protective especially ...

G'day MO
3.5ltr's of SAE 5W-50 or SAE 10W-50/60.
These are multigrade oil's as recommended by VAG.
As polo boi said buy a 5ltr and use the rest as top up when you need it.

Open the tailgate lift the carpet to access the spare wheel,there should be a paper sticker in there [sometimes its under the spare] the sticker has various codes on it,the one you want is the MOTO/TRANS CODE usually a 3 digit code starting with A.
