what makes you say that. they have 30 bhp more than the polo 16v. i have a polo 16v ok it;s nippy for what it is but it aint quick. were as ive driven a gti and i got myself into trouble a few times. there quite alot quicker

anyone?? can anyone even point me down a route of a second hand box. iv tried ebay. no luck there. dont no of any breakers because i live in jersey (channel islands). a name or website of wear i could get one from would help me alot. i just want my polo back on the road

re-con 16v gearboxes

where can i get a re-coned 16v gearbox, i dont want my one to get re-conditioned as i need my car back on the road asap. having trouble finidng anywhere that sells one. if not ill have to go down the second hand route

oil for 16v.

ive used the search and all i can find is what brand of oil to buy not the actual weight/grade of oil i actually need to put in my 1999 polo 16v.
does anyone know?

if we had a kwik fit in jersey (channel islands) i would take it there but we dont. so i would be looking at minimum of 50 pound labour and oil and a filter on top. and if i took it to the VW garage over here i would be looking at 90 pound an hour labour. not cheap.

service miles?

was drivin along today and my mileage counter started flashing, 'service oil' after a while it stoped flashing and it said service miles instead. now everytime i start the engine it does the same thing. what does all this mean? my car is a 1999 polo 1.4 16v

you can change the width of the rim ie: the dish. with a 2 peice wheel. u just buy a wider dish and heypresto u have a wider rim. the point of a 3 peice wheel is it allows u to change the offseft ie: ET if u wish to do so and they are also alot lighter

cool idea if you wanna drift it but for going quick it will be shocking to drive. it needs a diff or the back end will every where. plus live axles like on quad bikes make the vehicle easier to roll under heavy cornering. wouldnt mind one though.

polo boi did u do them urself. if so where they hard. especially the rear window. and dont go for a deeper sunstrip unless u want to look like a chav. if anything put a smaller one on.

i really dont no mate. i got that link off the mk5 section.. might be something to do with the file format not being compatable with the photobucket player.

unfortunatly we dont have a powerflow here in jersey (channel islands) i no of a place that could make me a system that would be a work of art ...

my exhaust has got a blow in it. and although it sounds sweet at the moment it's only gonna be a few months till it doesnt sound sporty anymore and just sounds like my exhaust is fecked. so what exhausrt are avaliable for the 16v? i would prefer something with no more than a 3 inch tailpipe. im not ...

the roads really are shocking here u may think ur roads in the uk are bad. well ours are much worse. as i have said ive ground the bottom of my car a few times at speed already and that is with standard ride height. so i dont think id get away with 60mm well maybe if i obeyed the speed limit (40mph ...
