Not sure what the temp key is?? But if ur looking to have a spare cut most places do them. We had a spare cut in cardiff with immobiliser code for around £20, vw wanted alot more!!

Just a quick post to say thank you to everyone who helped me diagnoise and fix my polo....def saved me alot of money...

Good News!!!! The car is fixed!!!! :lol:

Changed the temp switch this morning, cost £10. Just been out for a LONG drive purposly sampling different types of roads and speeds....the car runs fine now.

I menthoned the MP9 issues to the mechanic, he assured me that his newer version of vag-com would be able to work ansd wouldnt have problems with thelong term memory...

When a friend with a registered version of vag-com 409.1 switched to basic settings nothing happend, no ADP RUN was displayed or ...

Yeah cheers Ron, i do understand, just not full of cash at mo...but i actually took her to a different tuning ecu garage last night...took alot more time and alot more helpful than the last guy.

He had the new vag-com with hex cable, cleared all codes, reset the TB, i was watching it re-align, but ...

The ResetMP9 software states that it can be used to fix 533 related error codes, unfortunately my cheap ebay OBDII Plug cable is not supported....so does anyone know if there are anyprograms i can use with my OBDII cable to erase the long term ecu memory....sorry for all the hassle, just want to get ...

Just found the tool i need on the hex dianostics web site ( ResetMP9 utility ), quick question though:

6. After a few seconds the program will announce the end of the procedure. At this point, leave the ignition switched on and the ResetMP9 program still running.

Thanks for the quick reply. The reason i ask is that 'ross-tech' state that the Throttle body should be re-aligned if the the TB has been removed or the battery has been disconected (i have done both)...with the new TB i am still having idle issues (thankyou for everyones advice and suggestions) but ...
