Oh, I've tried all sorts of shampoos and mixes. I started using NXT shampoo in about a 25% mix, which which was quite good but too expensive. For the snow foam I have now, no brand just from a local guy, about 20% I suppose. I think it depends on how powerful your powerwasher is anyway I reckon your...

I love using snow foam, I get such looks from passers-by when I do our four cars at once :D

I use the cheap karcher foam lance from Halfords but that lance looks like a proper bit of kit, pity I've already sent off the santa list

On vagdrivers.net (Irish vw forum) they have tech days - 5 or 6 lads meet at one of their houses and they work together on each others cars, sharing tools etc. I hear it goes well, but it's hard to get somewhere to host it, only a few lads have lifts / pits

I love that car alright - VW have given it a lot of publicity, I'd say it might the basis for a limited edition in a couple of years. Can't wait for mine, 1.4 160 DSG in the new year :D :D

You can get wiring harnesses from http://www.kufatec.de/shop/product_info ... lo-6N.html

Looks complicated! Good chance they'd be compatable between Mk3 Golf and 6n I'd say

I'm in a similar situation, buying in the new year. Would love a new Scirocco, but can't really justify it when there are 1 year old Mk5 GTIs for 25% less.

Edit: of course the 1.4 tsi 160 Scirocco would be closer to your budget (and mine). I might end up getting one of those :D

Had the same problem myself

I just thumped the last clip in while stretching the end with a screwdriver at the wheel arch. I wet all the clips with soapy water as I was fitting it, it might have helped a bit with the stretching

The rear aero wiper is another thing. My 9n arm with a Bluemotion blade just doesn't work right - does yours crush the blade too?

I was looking at a Scirocco at the weekend and thought the wiper off that might suit the Polo better, since it seems to be shorter

I think they have gone up a little since. Its closer to 160 now. That doesnt include adjusters, ballasts, or bulbs either. I might go have to order myself a set then :D @JDub, just so you know, each ballast costs at least as much as a headlight. The ballasts have a Polo specific rubber boot, so if ...

I wonder can you take off the outer glass and replace with glass from a standard headlight?
