Kenny - I feel for you mate. I had the same problem with my GLX

I think the dealer's telling you porkies about the availability of the part. Have a look in the Polo GTi section about the pedal boxes.

You really should put a new clutch in as IMHO this is the root of the problem. The bracket it weak ...

Got a letter this morning :)

The work has already been carried out and to be honest the clutch operation is still s**t!!! This was about 2 months ago!

To sort the problem properly IMHO they would need new clutches putting in too.

I'm ringing Milton Keynes

I've replaced the Pedal Box Bracket on my 6N Alex. It's a '96 car.

The fault is not being able to get any gears???
Starts off with reverse then gets worse???

The problem is caused by the clutch plate going stiff. Change the clutch when it should be changed = no problem. Dont change the ...

I've done this job on a 6N. I've also had my mothers GTi back in at the dealers (under warranty) to get her pedal box braket replaced.
From what I have gathered the clutch is the root of the problem - something that wasn't changed when the bracket was replaced! I'm sure the same thing will happen ...

If it's a Sony MD then join the red wire to the same source as the yellow. The Y should be perm 12V+ and the R a switched feed from ign.

Or leave the key in 8)

Yes they will fit - good luck finding some though! TSW don't make this wheel anymore. All I can suggest is ringing local wheel dealers to see if they have some left. Also there is a "Smiths" wheel that is identical but I can't remember what the name is - It was in the new products page of PVW a few ...

I had this on my MK2 Golf GTi

It was the fuel pump relay. Dry joint on the solder. Re-soldered it and it was fine. With it being the fuel pump relay it would cause the car to jerk/cut out under braking/cornering.

You could remove the relays 1 by 1 and shake/open them up
Does anything stop ...
