Re: tornado_ally says farewel to his Polo after 7 years

Hey guys and girls, I am selling my polo after owning it for 7 years. got it brand new with 22 miles on the clock when i was 17. It is now a 60k mile veteran of the London roads and time cometh to part with her. Only problem is i need to sort out the gear linkage issue before I hand her over to her ...

Could always roll the arches out and slap some coilovers on. RSCs were my top choice till i found out how much they slow my already sluggish car down. If you spared £1000 on alloys you have to spend a bit on lowering the car onto the alloys. At the moment it looks nice but with a drop it wil look s...

Component are too big for 9N door!

Focal 165K2s are too big for the door! The window catch hits the rear of the magnet even if you but a spacer between the door woofer and the door itself. if you boom it out too far then the cone hits the door panel once its been fixed on. Does any1 have these in their polo and how did they squeeze t...

stakissss, you could try the new JL Audio components, they seem pretty quality and the website says they only need minimal mounting depth which as we know can be a problem. its a hard choice.

Head Unit advice

I have been looking at nead units for a while now and am torn between the Alpine 9835R and the Pioneer DEH-P9600MP. I would like to hear peoples opinions on these two and what they would recommend. I have noticed with postage and packing, both are a lot cheaper to have shipped over from America than...

I am not the expert- more the trial and error guy but i can tell you now you wont be able to get Focal speakers in there- anything above Polyglass your gonna have problems with. K2ps dont fit- however other brands might have smaller magnets that do fit. Try Infinity, 17cm Infinities will fit and don...

the domensions of the speakers are illustrated on the box they come in. If your lucky the box will have cardboard cut outs to act as templates for the door adaptors. Little hint- do not buy huge 170mm speakers for your doors because they often come with a big magnet which is too big for the door. th...

Mine does that. I think the guage illustrates how much goes in the tank but doesnt account for how much petrol is taken into the engine and piping once the car gets revd up. What i noticed is when you take the guage down to half way mark and put a fiver in, it goes down a lot faster back to half way...
