Haha, ok, consider the POLO on the front gone, the majority vote has won, i started not to like it myself a little while back, and just havent got round to dealing with it. Ive never had any problems with the rear lights, when I blew my tyre and the police pulled up to check on me, i asked them if t...

Dodgy?

Hey guys, After getting my alloys, and declaring them to the insurance, to find that theres no extra cost  ...i decided that i can afford to have extra premium, but putting some 40mm dropping springs on my 9N, on ebay, i found these - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-polo-1-4tdi-9N-Pi-Lowering-Springs_...

you'd be right mate, the next plan is a 40mm drop, if the parents dont flip at the alloys, my mum hasnt been too bad, she thinks it looks good. but my dad is in the navy on a ship, and is always away, so i have to send him an email with these pictures to tell him what ive done. :P I pressumed that t...

Ok guys, so i got the 205/40/17s, thanks for all the advice, now looking into getting the wheels refurbed, they have a LOT of brake dust corrosion, i think the bloke who had them on his 1998 Golf 4 Motion never cleaned them once! :? ....golf drivers... http://i94.photobucket.com/albums/l112/el...

ohh right, so in your opinion...needs lowering say..........35mm? on springs

bare in mind im only 17, so insurance is a factor. i think my insurance dont mind about alloys, and these are standard VW issue...on a 4 motion golf, but springs might be harder to blag.

is it going to look a bit stupid?

Just picked them up, they are HUGE, i put them next to the car, and there is no way i could have run them on those tyres...no way at all. Annoyingly, they're all Toyo Proxes, 2 which are basically brand new, and still have all the markings on the tread, i'd guess about 8-9mm, and the other two are 3...

So are they really good? The tyres the alloys have on them at the moment are Toyo Proxies.

What benefits would i see from those, over Budgets?
