Surely the only way to go would be to source the parts from a scrappy preferably one that stacks the car and does not dismantle them but leaves it for the punters to crawl over. Buy new connector plugs from VW and get an auto electrician to fit for you unless the remaining wiring loom does not have ...

Had another look last night. Loosened off banjo bolt going into the throttle body and turned car over. Fuel spurted out and after getting more light on the area did notice the fine mist of petrol in the chamber so fueling was ok.
Took off the distributor cap, put it back on, tried starting car again ...

My sister has a 1993, 1043cc Polo coupe CL, which has broken down at my home and is now taking up my garage space. Apparently on driving to my house the car seemed to have the efffect of running on three cylinders but did not stall. Now the car refuses to start, not even the hint of the car firing ...

Difficult to tell by the pic but car was in a poor state. Interior looked like it ...

GT MK3 with problem is on sale locally - is it worth it?

There is a polo gt (1991) about 100k up for sale locally to me. Mot ran out back end of last year and it has been unused at least since then. Bodywork/interior is average/good. Apparently car is not running, owner seems to think it is the electonic ignition which is the problem. I have had a number ...
