New rims?

Good to see it finally got an LSD, and more power always helps too. 8) Got a ride in it when Karl owned it, with the gas disconnected it still pulled amusingly hard. Came close to selling everything I owned to buy this Polo!

Rothe motorsport in Germany do log style cast manifolds for the 8v and 16v Mk4/6N Polos, as well as the earlier 8v lumps - I'm using one on my G40 with a K03 turbo. The 6N motors have pretty weak rods, and the cranks aren't as tough as the earlier cars either. Lowering the compression ratio would be...

My Polo Turbo

It's been ages since I've been on here, so time for an update! Last summer I was having problems with the G-lader on my Squareback G40 conversion, and ended up with a cracked scroll on the 'charger: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v467/amstrange1/P9260160.jpg Steve from PSD sorted me a lash-up lad...

Only Mk2 GT-G40s (of which there are very few!) had air flow meters.

If you search on the Club Polo site I'm sure you'll find someone selling one - have you tried placing a wanted advert on there too?

You can use Mk2 Golf GTI ones, but they generally need tweaking to run alright on a GT - best to get a GT one. Try asking on here and Club Polo if anyone's got a spare.

The GT has a vane type airflow meter, not a hot wire one.

Without bothering to look at compressor maps or doing any maths, I'd suggest something along the lines of a Garrett T2.

Yeah, I read you were using a Citroen one - was just saying it needs to be bigger than the stock G40 i/c size wise. If the head's coming off, at least fit a not-so-pikey spacer plate to lower CR, or stack some HGs (pretty pikey) rather than just being pikey and not lowering the compression at all. T...

The Eatons generate very hot boost, so make sure you've got a large intercooler - needs to be bigger than a stock G40 one really. What compression is that bottom end, 9.5:1? Wouldn't want to be running much boost through it without a different cam and headwork - it'll get very hot in there. Water in...

Fair play for having a bash! I'm guessing it's not running yet judging by lack of pulley and pipework.

Is that on the stock bottom end?
What boost you planning on running once you've got pulleys sorted?
What size intercooler?
Are you still running the stock exhaust manifold?
Why a DV?
