I was supplied with two keys with my polo, both of which are an abomination and neither open the car remotely.
It does outline in the handbook remote central locking but it looks like an optional extra, am I correct? What is the best method of replacing my keys? can the blades be switched?

Cheers mate, did you say you had carried out the task? did you use an engine hoist? I found several articles suggesting jacking the engine just enough to remove one of the engine mounts?

Any specific 6n2 1.4TDi Timing belt DIY's?
Hi All,
Has anyone carried out a cambelt change on a 1.4Tdi before? I've trawled the web in an attempt to find a decent DIY with very little luck so any guidance (Do's & Don'ts) would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Polo TDi - Daily hack progress thread
They are Aluline Turbines, I have to agree they don't look bad at all and would a lot better with a refurb. They look to sell for reasonably decent money so I may end up switching for some RXII'sKarim wrote:Loving the alloys though! what is the style called? Oo

Polo TDi - Daily hack progress thread
Afternoon all, Some of you may not remember me but I was an active member some 7+ years ago when I took to a 6n2 GTi as my first proper car, this was the end result: http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r65/shantybeater/e3807003ht0-1.jpg Absolutely loved that car and still miss it. After much delibera...

6N2 TDI - bit of help on what to look out for!
Hi All, About to pull the trigger on a very high mileage 6n2 tdi. Above the ordinary checks is there anything specific you recommend looking out for? Also this is my first diesel, am I supposed to look for any different engine characteristics? e.g. cold starts/idle/smoke I used to own a 6n2 GTi so I...
