I'm not 100% sure but dont these things just make your engine run with the choke on or make it run lean :? but whatever it does as said above it wont do it any good

I dont know where you are in Glasgow but you could try this company as they specialise in france germany and spain logistics, I used to work for there manchester depot and when i used them they where very cheap as in half the price of parcelfarce

Never ever ever trust a kwikfit man he is only out to rob you!!!!!!

I once had dealings with them with my RS i wanted the tracking checked but the problem was with it being lowered it struggled to go on the ramps, So i explained this to said kwikfit man and he said "no worries we have a flush fit ...

Hi Mo

I didnt tell the insurance about the standard immobiliser as i didnt know it had one DOH!! :oops: :lol: :lol: But thankfully the previous owner must of been seriously paronoid as theres a cat2 immobiliser and alarm fitted plus i use a disclock so i reckon i'll be ok.

mmh

Cheers for that 8) ive just had a look in the key and theres a little black chip inside. So im thinking take the chip out and plant it behind the dash somewhere so the immobiliser would be perminantly off, then just get a couple of cheapo keys made up

if i did that would the car still run ...

Thanks for the quick reply 8) I was thinking it was a chip or something inside it so thanks for confirming it.

I think what i will do is just get a cheap normal key made up for a few quid and use it on the same keyring as the one with the chip in it and hopefully the immobiliser will be able to ...

Ive been reading the forums for a couple of weeks now so thought it time to join 8)

Ive been running my polo for 3 weeks now and am quite impressed with it, Its a 1996 P reg 1.4SE not as quick as my old car (RS2000) but the build quality and smoothness beats the ford handsdown 8) also ...
