Its odd that you've posted this because my mate noticed my 1.4 16v 75bhp SE didnt have one either, yet his mark 4 1.4 16v did! I got kinda worried that a garage i've been too might have taken it out and not put it back.

Can someone clarify this? :)

They won't fit in the standard locations at all

I'll be taking the car to Prestige Audio in Rickmansworth to have them make door builds for the midbass and A Pillar builds for the tweeters which will then be trimmed in a mix of Leather and Alcantara :D

knew it :P no way they would fit ...

i want to put them in the stock locations, but usually in other cars, the speaker is attached to the metal. when people replaces them, they add a mdf baffle to give it a strong solid mount (and extra space to accomodate the speaker)

with the polo, the speaker is attached to a plastic adapter sorta ...

baffle in a 6n2

hey people, i want to install my JL components, got sound deadening to apply but before i do, i need to make a baffle for the speakers.

now im sure the point of using a baffle is so thats its solid, which would mean i have to remove the not-as-strong plastic speaker adapter right? but the thing is ...

If you're revving that high for power though, it's a waste of time letting it hit the limiter because it cuts the power.

Best bet is to change just before the power dies.

yeh thats what i do anyway, which brings me to the other thing; is it supposed to limit at 5 - 5.5K? the redline is at 6k and ...

my engine isnt the 100bhp one tho, its 75, and redlines at 6K so its quite unlikely its gonna limit in the redline. the manual does say about not letting to the car go into the red at any time

is there anyway of maybe changing the limiter? or maybe the car has been in low revs its entire life as ...
