Gordon the G40.....

I just bought this Polo G40 yesterday, and yes I've named it Gordon (sad I know, but it makes it easier to know which Polo we're talking about - that's my excuse & I'm sticking to it :) ). Got some pics of him in the condition he arrived, so I can track his progress: http://i119.photobucket.com/...

Does anyone know where you can get some of the black plasticy stuff that goes in the number plate recess on the G40 (possibly on other models too)?
Picked up my new G40 today 8) and it's got this black stuff behind the no plate but it is lifting off and cracking!

Mine managed to do a whopping 957 miles since the last rebuild!! Is that really meant to say 957? :( I'd take it back, it MUST be under warranty & if not I'd drive over the guys foot who rebuilt it (don't know if it would teach him, or even do any good but I think it would make me feel a bit be...

Just fitted the one I bought off olop_chris today and tbh it has made mine 'slightly' more responsive, definitely no loss of power, but the sound is AMAZING. I'll see how I go with it in terms of fuel consumption but I'm expecting the tank to do about 20-30 miles less (then again my GTi wasn't parti...
