Ideally you need 195/40/16.
225's will definitely rub, go for 195's!

I've not got any complaints with mine & the only common problem that I've heard is the gearbox, but tbh all cars have their faults & in my opinion the polo gti is worth the risk of the gearbox going at some point. You might also need to check to see if the wheels need refurbing but that woul...

OK Guys, he told me they are in good condition so I will probably put them on here when they arrive (I've had stuff off him before and it's been as described so I've got no worries). What do you think is a reasonable price for them? The ones on ebay made £116 inc. postage but that does seem quite h...

Re: Doors

Having trouble closing my doors without giving it a good slam. Also they don't have such good sound either. Any suggestions? Have to say, mine are a little bit like this. Won't shut unless I give them a real good slam, or from the outside it always shuts right if I push from the handle rather than ...

How easy are the seatbelts to change in the GTI? I'm after the black seatbelts with red edges because mine are currently boring black! Yeah I was eyeing them up. May be a hard job to do No it'd be easy enough, just paitence. So did you get them in the end? The red edges look mint 8) I won the bumpe...

I placed an order with VAGparts for mine, the whole setup for front top mounts and rear bushes cost £56 inc. delivery. See here I didn't spec any powerflex bits but if the suspension is being upgraded it would be an ideal time to do it :) Cheers That's brilliant thanks, so do I just need to ask fo...

6n2 GTi Suspension Top Mounts

Hiya guys, Just need a little bit of advice. As you probably know I'm having new suspension fitted to my GTi soon & from reading on here it seems a good idea to replace the top mounts whilst I'm having it done. Could anyone tell me exactly what bits I'd need for the GTi for front & rear? Als...

Could look quite nice if done well, I think it's sooo cool when people get these ideas and try them - much better than everyone doing the same thing all the time

I'd go for the Huhrers, my second choice would be the ACT's. I personally think the RH cups would look so naff on a GTi & the ASA wheels would don't really do it for me.
