Re: foglights wiring
Yeh need to check the BCM version. I just crawled under the steering column and took a photo with the phone: http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r104/para_noid_one/Polo-6R/2013-04-14145615_zps77e6e9b8.jpg I got the 6R0 937 087B. Just need to find out if that BCM supports front fogs. According to Ross...

Re: foglights wiring
Ditto. I dont think there's anyone here who has done the proper retrofit here hence no response to your question. From my research, I found: 1. Wiring at kufatec http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/Volkswagen/Polo-6R/Fog-Light-Wiring-Harness-VW-Polo-6R Whether they work or not depends on the version of...

Re: Leather steering wheel retrofit
Thanks so much for your replies vwpolo16v, I'm really tempted by that leather cover! My Polo is red so that red stitching would go really nicely, have you ordered from that site yourself? If so how long did delivery take? Thanks everyone :) Matt No I have not ordered one so have no idea how long it...

Re: Polo 6R Stalk set Trip Computer
Hi Eddie, Sorry mate I missed your reply. Just looked at how to replace the stalk. Seems quite involved - especially all the warnings I read about keeping the "airbag coil slip ring in tact" - what ever that is  So I thought if I was to take it all apart, I might as well look at doin...

Re: Putting your fogs back in...
Not sure if this helps, but try this: When removing the fogs, the workshop manual mention releasing the locking lugs: http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r104/para_noid_one/Polo-6R/remove-fogs_zpsbac3bde5.jpg When installing the fogs, it mentions inserting tabs into retainers in bumper and lock them:...

Re: Leather steering wheel retrofit
A cheaper (£52) option is to buy a custom fit leather XUJI cover: http://gb.dinodirect.com/steering-wheel-cover-stitch-car-cow-leather.html Requires about an hour of patient stitching. Actually, you don't stitch the leather but you thread-the-thread that's already stitched to the leather. Should be ...

Loom is here: http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/Volkswagen/Polo-6R/Fog-Light-Wiring-Harness-VW-Polo-6R Switch is £60-70 I think but apparently it's the EXACT same as ones from previous VW's and therefore is available on ebay here: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=260974831507&ind...

Re: I can't get my front side grills out lol
@aaronon, I am watching this interest as I am interested in doing the same.
How are you gonna plan to wire the lights ?
Have you sourced a wiring harness ?
Have you sourced the new dash switch ?
Thanks.
Mac

Re: Polo 6R Stalk set Trip Computer
Hi Eddie,
I might me interested if you still have it.
Just got a 1.4 SE 6R for the wife.
It does not have a trip computer.
If I add this stalk, will it enable trip computer ?
If yes, are there guides/write-up to show how to do it ?
Cheers,
Mac.

Re: Emissions Light!
I've had my Emissions light ON for nearly nine months :!: :!: ...and the car seems to run fine (touch wood). That is, runs smoothly, no hesitations or jerk and no loss of power since got the car. OK well it could do with a bit more poke but then don't we all have that wish  The VAG COM shows t...

Re: Aircon problem
If your motor 17 is on your passenger side, then the diagram is oviously wrong (as the diagram shows that it's on the driver's side).Lordnikon wrote: The motor no 17 is on the passenger side - on my car anyways
Unless of course you have a left hand drive

Re: Aircon problem
Diagram is ace fella ! :) I am replacing both motors and have done the one on the right already (waiting for the other one to turn up) You can replace it by removing the glovebox and the piece of ducting at the front you will see when the glovebox is out. Hi lordnikon, I don't get it. You said that...
