Whats the smallest rim size you can fit on a polo gti with standard brakes??

The clunking of my front suspension when I turn left or right is much more regular now. I am going to take a look tommorow but was hoping for some advice as to what I need to be looking for!?

I have the car in my garage now, took the bumper off to change a sidelight and thought I would put on the stands to change the starter because of its annoyinh noise! Have disconnected battery etc got under car, can see the starter and one bulb but its a real ...

No. It happens when the engine starts not before it starts. its quite loud aswell. Fuel pump buzzes more than grinds!?

Sometimes when I turn to nearly full lock (nd car is moving) there will be a loud clunk from the suspension (front). Doesn't matter which way you turn. It is a mkv gti and sits on FK coilovers lowered 50mm on 15"s
