Right, I have finally bitten the bullet and bought a new MAF sensor from our friend Mr VW.
£90 - £20 (for my old one when i take it back).

It's changed over, off to take it out for a test drive in a bit.

Fingers crossed :?

I'll go the MAF sensor route first, then if it doesn't solve it i'll chat to the tuning company.

Cheers guys!! :D

Cheers for that, I'd be more than happy if it is the MAF sensor as its a pretty easy fix.

Boost probs TDI Sport 100

Hi guys and girls.. probs with my TDI sport 100.
I've lived with it for about a month now but I really need to find the cause of this problem.

The Problem

Anywhere between 50-80ish mph in 4th or 5th gear I lose all boost pressure, I can feel it straight away... it's as if I haven't got a turbo ...

I had the same problem (no boost), the other day.

Turned the engine off and back on again and all appered normal, after a few more miles it happened again so I disconnected the MAF sensor, It made no difference.
At the moment it's working fine, but I know its not gone away!! :(

Will be ...

Car serviced

After much debating of where to get my Polo serviced (VW or not) I decided to take it to a VAG specialist - Auditechnik in Gloucester.

Very good customer service, they knew the car inside out, put it through a diagnostics test and adjusted my xenon headlights at no extra cost.

All in after tax it ...

To be honest an MOT's an MOT. I'd take it to a normal garage just to get it stamped up, worry about going to a VW / VW specialist when servicing time comes.

Mate, its a 4 year old car.... it should be fine!

And if the tyres are low on 'tread' you should get them changed anyway, not just for MOT reasons.

It'll be ok :D
