Hi all
Looking for some advice. Car worked fine till I came out of work tonight and now it just wont start. I have a spark and have fuel and the car turns over as normal but it just wont fire. Any ideas? Can you bypass the immobilizer?
Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers
Justyn

Broke down today
Hi
Well the Polo was hard to start this morning but it did go eventually. Engine cranked for ages before it sprang into life. Then about 5 mins from the house it struggled, no power at all. I pulled into the side of the road and the engine died!
I had to start it about another 10 times. Each ...

I think the bulbs have gone esp in the dash - two at bottom appear to work but no others. Is this normal or have the bulbs ...

I had a gearbox issue with a car before. If you can jack up the front of the car to get to the gearbox, ( I jacked mine with and sat it on the spare wheel so I could crawl under) and get it into third gear by hand then you can usually get it home.

Hi there. I am new to the forum and to the world of VW.
I just bought an S plate Polo 1.4cl It has 125k on the clock but the engine was changed a couple of years ago for one off an auto polo.

I agree the jobs all need doing. Thing is garages cost sooooo much mainly labour I know. Is there anyone that could give you a hand to do the work required?
The backbox should not be hard and will be cheaper if you get a new box and fit it yourself.
