I wondered if anyone else has experienced this problem before and may also have a solution.

i have a 2004 Model and a few months back the E/M Light came on, i took it to a local garage and they hooked it up to the computer and it showed Lambda sensor bank 1. so they fitted a new front sensor, light ...

Yeah PD please do one.. then there are 2 ways to wire this unit up.. plus also i will probably go for your way if its easier..

the only thing is from wiring in the boot how to do connect the wires to the windows i know you need some kind of relay but wont you have to run a wire to the front of the ...

got this from another forum...

if it's the EPC light by far the likeliest fault is the brake switch. And it's lovely and easy to diagnose - press the brake pedal and get a mate to tell you if the brake lights are coming on.

Other possibilities include clutch switch and some other more unlikely ...

you have a button for the boot does that do anything?.. might have to try this.. if yours is okay and went without too many problems then it must be okay..

but a guide would be a great help to be honest.. lol

so i take it you cant start the car with the keyfob key since it doesnt have the transponder chip in it??

and do you have a what wire went where guide.. dont want to damage the car only just got it.. :wink:

So this is not a simple task to do then. lol..
how did you go about your key with the keyfob ones or was yours the simple alarm keyfob type not the flip key one?

maybe i should write a guide on how i did it then atleast people who where in my situation wouldnt end up spending a week thinking about how to do it.

Now that is a VERY GOOD IDEA get a how to done!!! 8) 8).

you say its easy to do, does your windows work with this aswell?

I am also looking into doing this, i have seen those kits before but since i am not very clued-up on modern vehicles..( bring back the mark 1 escorts / cortinas / capris rofl ) i will have to find an auto electrician.. it cant be a difficult job prob a 1 or so for him.. lol.. might be worth the ...

Gamma Into Beta?

Does anyone know if the gamma stereo will plug into the beta stereo socket?
also if the beta socket has wiring in for rear speakers that i dont have as yet?

want rear speakers and cd changer but need to swap beta for gamma..

cheers, where would i find someone with a vag.com near me? its just that i think £80-£100 for a key is daylight robbery to be honest.. esp if the keys are like £5.. cant i get a transponder key blank cut and take it to VW to get it programmed surely that would be cheaper than them ordering one ...

Wanted a changer really that went in the boot, then i still have that slot..
vw stereos do look pretty dull.. its a shame really as i took a alpine cd changer out of my old car, would have been nice to link that up..

where is the cable located for the changer in the boot i cant find one anywhere ...
