Just as a follow up:

Thanks VWfan i took the inner arch off and as you said its right infront of you:

As seen in the pic it had simply come loose. I reattched it and put the arch back on. Simple job just required a torx 20 screwdriver.

It was still leaking ...

Thanks alot ill give this ago this week. I don'tknow why they had to put the washer bottle in such a stupid place, in the mk 4's (which i had 2 of) it was just behind the battery in both 1 litre and 1.4.
It is as if they had tried to make the engine bay as big as possible. Maybe they were planning ...

Thanks for the reply,

However it seems that join in the first pic is staying dry as if the pipe has come out elsewhere.

Do you know where abouts the pipe joins the washer bottle? The reason I ask this is because when you push the stalk there is a pool of water under the car leaking from the front ...

Hi, first off great site, I have enjoyed reading through some of the posts on here and they have been very helpful.

My girlfiriends '03 1.2S MK6 is suffering from the well documented rear wash wiper failure. I am adament that the pipe has become unattached at some point as there is a pool of water ...
