Re: Quiet forum
I agree with you. I have a post up and not many viewing and obviously not much help. I have been a member since 2007 ever since I first got my Polo but at the time I thought its because the polo 9n3 is a new car so not many people would know much technical stuff about it. I was wrong I guess. Still ...

Need some help to diagnose my car problem.
Hi all,
My sincere apology for this long post.
Its been a while I haven't posted. But today I thought to check online and see if anyone here can help. I had recently (as in 3 weeks ago) had to replace my valves, head gasket, timing belts and etc. Reason being I was driving one day and suddenly ...

Hi,
Ya, I am thinking the same here. If its too costly to repair, I will consider getting a similar used engine. But problem is its difficult to actually get one from where I am. Was wondering if anyone over in the UK can help seeing there are so many breaker companies there. Thanks.

Re: Timing belt snapped (9N3). Might get a used engine instead.
Hi, Thanks for the response. Will a 1.8T engine go in? My original engine is 1.4. Wondering if there will need to be alot of extras to be fitted in order to make the 1.8t compatible. Also my car is an auto and I understand the 1.8t gti engine is a manual. Thanks.

Re: bugger bugger bugger.
I am looking at the same problem here. Anyone can offer to send a used engine my way if its required. I can pay for all the charges. I am waiting till tomorrow to get an answer from my mechanic as to how much I need to pay for this. If its too costly, would like to get a used one from UK. I am ...

Timing belt snapped (9N3). Might get a used engine instead.
Hi all,
Anyone had this happened to them? Mine (I think) snapped today while I was on the road. Not sure if its serious. Will know by tomorrow. I didn't hear any clunking noise when it happened so I hope that is a good sign. Was only 46k on the clock. Might had been my aggressive driving.
Any ...

Hi guys, Thanks for the info. This particular dealer is, as I found out after buying my car, to be somewhat of a crook. People have been complaining including myself of them changing parts from one car to the next. And the fact that they kept my car in their garage for 3 months after I have paid up ...

Is it normal practice to drop the price of cars?
Hi all,
I bought my polo 9n3 1.5 years ago at the price of BND26,500.00 which is roughly Sterling Pound 8850.00. Just today, I read in the newspaper my local dealer is dropping the price down to a very affordable BND20,000.00. Thats 2k pound less than the original price. The reason for this is that ...

Hi Alex,
Thanks for the reply. I will take it to my local garage as my friend working there says he can reset for me.
As for the spark plug, its only been 20K so its still ok. But it would be nice to know how to take the wire loom and spark plug coil out so I can access the spark plug when I need ...

How to take out spark plug & reset oil change warning? H
Hi guys,
Has anyone here done their own oil change on the 9n3 1.4l polo? I just did mine today and now need to reset the warning on my cluster. How do I do this? Do I need a Vag-com to do that?
Also, I have been trying to figure out how to take out the spark plug with no luck. No idea how to take ...
