Steve 86C told me when he gave mine back that it runs better with no lambda so i took his word for it and it ran great and MPG was the same as before if not a little better :D So we could get a decat without the need for a lambda probe boss thing? cheers Adam. anyone know if i can use a gt ECU on the NZ loom then? as a guess the ecu, dizzy and cam would go awesome together. There's a few subtle differences that make it impossible. The throttle-body is very different on the GT compared to the NZ, and the coil has about 7 pins IIRC instead of ...

Its 100% the NZ ECU and they are exactly the same just with a different sticker to look at :wink:
I have no idea how it works! :P I was just guessing.

So whats the difference between the standard NZ and the SPI? Compression?

@Dan- the chip just fits like any other of Alans and i did notice a difference pretty much with it being smoother and more revvy. @83Coupe- Ive got G40 brakes on mine with Raicam pads. Great brake setup for my car, can't fault it, oh and mine is a CL with NZ MPI on it, not a full NZ engine :wink: a...

well ive all ready got my NZ and they seem to go cheaper than GT's!!! ive tested it and im happy with the way it performs, i think i might just come to the next rolling road day to see what its pulling with a few tweeks. Im thinking of writing a how to on a MPI to GT/NZ swap so keep an eye if anyon...

hhmm tasty, yeah defnitly isn't 55bhp. I'm gunna have to get mine de-catted. I don't think the normall poloace chips fit though, because the ECU is different...
