whining noise sounds like driveshaft or something! HELP!!!!!
while accelerating through the gears the car has a faint whining noise. the noise is not in time with the sound of the engine but sounds like it increases as the car gets faster. does anyone know what this is? thanks for your help.

hello all am just posting on here as i am curious and cant be doing with my gearbox blowing again. when my car is cold it seems to grind into 2nd from 1st.
This could be due to there being no oil in the gearbox but it could just be me being paranoid as when my last one blew i was supposed to have ...

well yes the noise seems to go or at least fade when i apply the brakes have you any idea to what this may be? cheers.

hello all just wondering what this squeeling noise is that is coming from the front wheels assuming its the brakes as when i press them it stops.
I have recently fitted new discs and pads (a week ago to be precise) as the brakes were allready making a noise due to not having any pads left in them ...

yes it is an 8-valve and is the distributer the bit where the HT leads plug into and is orange? cheers.

yer but uv gta rememba im a newb these sorta fings scare me i jus want sum power out of ma car!!! lol o well im sure its a project that will be approached in the future!!! and i wud be usuing the 8v bottom end if i was to do it!!!

yeah it would be an awesome mod i think!! how would we know what the compression ration should be though and would the 16v pulley work or would you have to work it out. also cud u use the 16v pistons? cheers

hello im just wondering whether the 16v head would fit on the 8v bottom end because i think it could be a pretty good mod

air intake
this is the problem i have tried putting the k&n on the end of sum pipe and it did sound much betta but seemed to use much more petrol so i put it back where it was. but i dont know what to do really i have only just started driving so i dont really want to start putting loads of mods on the engine ...

Air filters. suggestions????
at the moment i have k&n air filter sat on top of my carb just as a replacement for the air box. :? apparently these dont do anything and your betta off leaving the standard air box on but i want a grunt noise. :x im tempted to just drill the air box but wanted to know if anyone had any better ideas ...

ow much are you wantin for your wires mate becuase its an unusual feature to have on a polo and think it would look smart. dont say name a price lol cus i dnt know how much theyre worth and wudnt want to say a low price. so name one. cheers.
