The codes I have been getting on the scangauge are:
P0141
P0142
I am presuming the P0141 is pre-cat and the P0142 is the sensor on the cat, can anyone confirm that please?

Bloody Boot Switch
Had my car washed yesterday and as I was driving home the boot open light popped up on the dash, it was very dim to start with, then progressively got brighter. The boot was of course closed. I have had a look at the boot switch and it green in areas, showing water has gotten into it. Are these swit...

Need a new Lamda sensor, any suggestions ?
My polo is throwing up the engine management light every time I go out in it, I can switch the light off without any problems thanks to the scangauge but I think its about time to replace them. The main code that comes up is the front sensor with the occasional code popping up telling me it's both. ...

Re: Scirocco Steering Wheel / Mk6 Wheel Fitting on 6n2 GTI
I know there is a guide somewhere to change the wiring over for the airbag, I think it was on a golf forum (I think i searched for mk5 mfsw airbag loom).
You will also need vagcom to program the airbag, but as the polo does not have canbus, I don't think this is actually possible.

Re: Scirocco Steering Wheel / Mk6 Wheel Fitting on 6n2 GTI
I used resistors on my wheel , the air bag light comes on when you start the car as normal but then goes out after a few seconds. If you get the buttons to light up (if you buy a wheel with buttons) I would very much love to know how its done. The wheel comes with a canbus controller inside the whee...

Re: Scirocco Steering Wheel / Mk6 Wheel Fitting on 6n2 GTI
You can't just cut the plug off and solder the new plug on, it is totally different, to get the air bag working, you would need to change the slip ring for a newer one. If you buy the wheel with buttons then they won't work either, still trying to find a way to get them to work, or at least light up...

Re: Scirocco Steering Wheel / Mk6 Wheel Fitting on 6n2 GTI
I have fitted one, thats my picture  They bolt straight on, you will have to mess about to get the airbag working or alternatively you can just put a couple of resistors in to make the light go out (similar to if you installed a momo wheel). The hardest part is getting the polo one off, fitting...

Re: Gearbox recon in Stoke-on-trent/west midlands
I drove from Birmingham to Kent with a knackered box (god knows how i managed it).
1st Gear Transmissions (http://1stgeartransmissions.co.uk/) did the work for £495 and the box has been sweet as a nut since and the gears are still nice and tight two years later

Re: neilGTI's Polo GTI - Chrome light switch fitted
Had the polo serviced this weekend and also had my cat put back on as the MOT is up in the next two weeks. Car drives so smoothly since having the work done, perhaps it could be because one of the things i had changed was the fuel filter, it was teh original filter by the looks of it so god knows ho...

I have installed the 1 touch indicators "komfort blinker" on my polo as well, also ranks high in the top mods for me, its took me a week or so to get used to it but now its like second nature to just tap the stalk.
I am liking your OEM+ mods, cant wait to what comes along next
