Re: Rear Wiper Arm Removal???

Thanks for the advice. Just to clarify, the first picture shows the bit of metal that is left on the spindle with another picture showing the old and new arm (so you can see which bit of the old arm is still stuck on the spindle)

(Not sure how to embed images so have just linked for now)

Rear Wiper Arm Removal???

Hi,

Part of the plastic on the rear wiper arm split before Christmas which meant that the wiper just swung round and pointed straight down. Now I've managed to get the arm off but the metal inside section of the arm (where it sits on the spindle) is still stuck on. I've got a new arm now from the ...

Re: Flashing Climate Control

Just realised that it's only started it since about the time the service indicator countdown ran out (I've got it booked in after Easter). Do you think it could be a way for it to tell me that the climate control needs servicing as well?

Flashing Climate Control

Hi,

Just recently I've noticed that when I start the car, the climate control display flashes (showing every available symbol the display can show) for a few seconds and then proceeds to work normally. Does anyone know what can cause this?

Cheers

Car pulling to left but alignment is OK???

Hi,

My car has been pulling to the left for a while now so when it was in for its MOT yesterday I thought I'd have the alignment checked. The wheels were aligned but upon driving it home I found it still pulls to the left. Driving down a straight road with no camber the steering wheel rests ...

Independent VW Servicing in North East (Sunderland/Durham?)

Hi, can anyone recommend a good independent VW servicing garage as my car is now over 3 years and I'd rather not pay expensive dealer prices.

Cheers

Thanks for the advice. Don't intend to use the dealer for servicing anymore (not that they know this yet :) so will give them a call and see what they say.

Cheers for the advice. Do you know if this affected the 5 door models as well or only the 3 door due to the angle the belt has to be becuase of the seatbelt point being further back (if I am making any sense)

Tim_GTi, did you mean buy the part unpainted from VW and then just find a local bodyshop?

If so, don't suppose anyone can recommend any good ones in the Sunderland/Durham area?

Poor Seatbelt Retraction

Hi, I've read on a post here that this is a common fault with this model (the belt does not seem to rewind properly and so often gets caught in the door) but I was wondering if there is any fix?

Is the best thing to get some spray paint from Halfords and some lacquer or should I get official touch-up paint from elsewhere (dealers?) and paint with a brush?

Hi, have a 03 polo and have problems with the rear wiper jet and seatbelts not rewinding properly. Are these problems I can fix myself at all as I really don't want to have to pay a dealer to fix them.
