changing the leds in the 3rd brake light
can anyone point me in the right direction for getting out the old leds on the non-spoiler version?. i have looked in the haynes manual but they just dont seem to come out easily. do i need to be more forceful? i dont want to break anything.

if it has been raining the brakes do seems to rust quite quickly. could the tolerance between the caliper and the disk be so small that the rust and bridge the gap? this is the worst case: i had major probs with this in the past. thanfully sorted now. took the garage 2yrs to find out the problem. we...

it is very easy. just buy the part from vagparts.com. i bought the golf mk3 version for about £100. but check yours car is compatible. open the boot, unplug the wiring loom that goes into the central locking pump and plug it into the remote unit. then plug the remote unit into the pump and thats it...

to clarify what inder was saying about the simplicity of installing the golf unit it really only takes a couple of minutes. take the central locking pump out of the pouch on the boot. unplug the loom and plug it into the votex then plug into the pump. attach the aerial and lay tidily around boot. pr...
