Yeah it must be that, I had to get the new part. Interestingly enough the part they had on the computer at Walkden VW was the wrong part. For a 2000 (w) 6n2 (mk5) there comp showed that it was a 2-pin switch. Where as the switch in mine was a black 4-pin switch. So either their computer system is wr...

for the wiper try pressing the end of the stalk again (i know it sounds daft) as for the lights to gain access you need to prize off the surrounds for the heater dials then youll see 4 torx screws which you can undo to release the dial unit. you then need to prize out the lower switches ad the litt...
