I'm just sobbing over the £120 it's just cost me for the garage to realise my fuel gauge was faulty and all that it was was I'd run out of petrol :(

Think of the fun stuff I could have spent £120 on.

Turns out that my baby is running perfectly, I just happen to have a falty fuel gauge and it was out of petrol :oops: :oops:..

All that hassle!

Hmm oh well.

I just hope we did it no damage trying to bump/tick it over

Hmm, could this be the problem with my car? Right, after being delighted about fitting my new seat the polo has really come back and bitten my arse. The tripometer now reads "service 2569 miles" and when I turn the ignition on(but not ticking over) it flashes "serice insp" I don't know if that's a coincidence but it didn't say that yesterday. Also it happened JUST as I was driving into the carwash so I don't know? Anyone know...

Probably a good idea but it sounds like it would be very tough.

Fact is regardless of the situation face to face is always best in the end but if you just can't face it then the letter will have to do but I'd push for telling him to his face.
