the reson for the odd pricing is that the seats arnt sold complete. they are sold in individual parts and sometimes bits get missed might it be worth replacing just the snapped part or getting it welded? Found one off of a 1.4se for £58 delivered. Stroke of luck there! Thanks for all your help:).
