mate personally taking the bumper of is probably the best way to go about it. its not so hard tbh. i changed them once without takign it out and the bulb on the battery side didnt lock in place corectly ended up burning the inside of the headlight over a week which i then had to go and replace.

yh i fitted the shortend drop links, the mondeo ones. Next time im definatly saving up for better quality coilovers though.. the ride comfort is zero
