Re: neilGTI's WIP (Work in Progress) Thread
Looking good!
Is it easy to remove the top centre dash console?
Got the remains of a mobile phone cradle attached behind mine and was wondering if the trim just clips into place?
Cheers

Re: mark-o-polo's 6n2 GTi progress thread
Well having only days earlier read the post about the window regulator I shut my driver's door with the window fully down. Went to put the window up and it stopped a third of the way up and the went back down. Took the door panel of and managed to snap the grab handle insert in the process - typical...

Aaaaarrrgghh! Did this last week - http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv23/Mark_Massiter/Polo%20GTi/P1050811-Copy.jpg Not as bad as it could have been I suppose, but still not happy. Also, having stated how well the car was running, it started "missing" temporarily, usually after the car h...

Re: mark-o-polo's 6n2 GTi progress thread
Fitted the upgraded rear wiper last week. Had a bit of a problem with the blade being too long and cathching the roof spoiler mid-sweep, but managed to put an additional notch in the blade so more of it "sits inside" the wiper arm, which seems to have rectified the problem. Just a quick ph...

Re: mark-o-polo's 6n2 GTi progress thread
Well, just a quick update. Had the car serviced this week as it's just shy of the 90k mark now.
All seems to be running fine (touch wood).
Have also ordered the bits from TPS today to do the rear wiper upgrade, which will hopefully be fitted in the next few days.
Pics to follow

mark-o-polo's 6n2 GTi - FOR SALE
Hi everyone, Been meaning to get this done for ages, so here it is! Bought the car in February last year via the for sale section of this website. Previous owner "92 rocks" had kept the car immaculate. Looked like this when I got it http://i666.photobucket.com/albums/vv23/Mark_Massiter/Pol...

Debadging Problem
Hi all,
I've recently taken the "polo" & "gti" badges off my boot. However, the red paint underneath is more of an orange colour.
I've tried to polish it with G3 but to no avail.
Anyone have any other ideas before I go and buy 2 new badges!
Thanks
Mark

Re: wanted bbs rxII alloy wheel
Have a look at the for sale section on www.section-5.net
There's a guy on there selling 2 - don't know if he'd be willing to split them?
Think it said he was based in Hartlepool.

I'll second that - I went from Darlington to Hayling Island to get mine, over 300 miles each way, but it's worth it to know you're getting a decent one!
