What a joke ! New key cost...

I only got one key with my car, so at lunch today went to see how much a new one would be.

Right... here goes the stealers 'budget' cost:

£30 for the KEY (metal bit)
£30 for the transponder (plastic bit with lock/unlock buttons)
£40 for a monkey to learn it to my car.

£100 FOR A SPARE FRIGGIN ...

GAMMA Radio Connections

Hi,

Does anyone know if the standard fit VW GAMMA head unit will accept the speaker output of a hands-free car kit ?

I know the MUTE line input can be used to mute the radio/CD but not sure if this head unit will allow ...

Oh, forgot to mention...

329 miles showing on the trip meter...... and the fuel gauge is showing half a tank ! ! !

This and it's the first tank of fuel... so not driving like Miss Daisey :lol:

They look like they know what they're doing... and charge accordingly !

I'll try out the "plug-n-play" box I've bought from a guy in Germany that basically gets rid of the EU limitations and put more fuel in... see how I get on with that and then maybe at a later date (when I can save a bit of cash ...

I love it !

For the size, the engine has a good amount of pull. Between 2,000 & 3,000rpm there is a nice growl and plenty of torque.

First and second gears will loose out to a petrol (not enough revs), but once in 3rd & 4th it really flie. On the motorway it pulls all the way to 85mph with out ...

Finally got the Polo !

Well impressed with the build and ride (not that I'd expect anything else from a crout mobile ;) )

Just bought a bluetooth handsfree car kit (Motorola HFW8000) and would like some help please. Pretty confident at installing it, but does anyone have a Haynes/TechCD with details/colours/diagram of a few connections ?

TDi PD Tuning boxes

I've been looking around for prices on a TDi PD tuning box for my (soon) 1.4TDi Mk5.

Anyone know what the difference is betwen the various ones for sale. They range from £29 to £150. And the price doesn't always corespond to the look of quality either.

My understanding in the most basic form ...
