my mate paul's gti run's on 5w40 too which is why i tried it on mine!

The engine should have 10w40 in it as per factory spec, but a 5w40 can be used if its put in. You can even run fully synth 0w30 in the engine if you like, but not many do it as its expensive! I had the same problem at my mates garage the other day but he used 10w40 on my GTI which gave me an oil check light we then changed it for 5w40 and its running perfect now!!

liking this matey what paints did you use?

perfect mate i run 7.5x16 et20 with 195/40 /16 toyo's and it only scrubbs with a full load over a dip in the road

the problem you have is that most finance companys wont give finance on a car over 5 years old! your best bet would be a bank loan and try and haggle a better price out them for cash!
