she had it out today and there was no warning, when she went to drive it again it came on once again. i will try disconnecting the battery for a half hour and see if it helps

the one i replaced was a grey sensor at the side of the engine, 2 pin. a small amount of coolant came out when i done it.
i read on another site that another guy got the idle speed warning and the coolant warning too and once he sorted the coolant warning with the sensor the other disappeared

guys my girlfriends polo 1.2 3cyc azq engine has started to give the temperature warning symbol about 30 seconds after the motor has started, it also does several beeps. i changed the temperature sensor at the side of the engine but it made no difference. there is no leaks to the rad or from any ...

guys i was changing a coil on my girlfriends 1.2 2002 polo (azq) and i disconnected a wire just above the right side coil, put it all back together and its firing perfect. but now im getting a engine light even though its running better. is then had the engine running and i had disconnected that ...

right located a vagcom device from the bay lucky enough a guy local was selling it. i done a scan a got the following 16585-16587 which is circuit malfunction on cylinder 1,2,3. from my experience im guessing that a coil pack needing replaced. am i right in saying that?

ok checked the battery read 12.5 with engine off, engine it was 14.5 it stayed steady even with revving the engine to 1500rpm. so i guess that pretty much eules out that bit.i have been looking at that vag software can i manually up the rpm slightly with that software?

ok after a bit of futher testing i found its sort of fixed the problem at idle. i find that when i use any electrics at idle i.e the windows and especially the fan the idle drops slightly and the car vibrates very quickly. do you think it might need a better battery or altanator to cope with the ...

well after a day of driving its almost cured it, if i get the vibration its only for a short moment then it straightens itself out. i.e put brake on when going to idle it gives a judder then goes away. still there slightly but alot more pleasant to drive

changed the sensor, still vibrating at idle (running temp) not as bad though. gonna disconnect the battery to reset the ecu. will get back 2moro

may i ask why you think its the temp sensor and not the throttly body?
