Re: Door Problem!

Ok, so Ive just been out to have a look and I *think* it could be an electrical problem- When I unlock the car with the remote fob I get the problem as decribed above (although spraying some WD40 onto the mechanism seemed to help a bit- I only have to pull a couple of times) however when I use the k...

Door Problem!

Hi guys and gals- just recently I have been unable to get into my Drivers door- it goes like this: 1: Unlock with fob, everything sounds as normal and all the doors seem to unlock. 2: Pull door handle- nothing happens, no click, nothing at all- the handle just goes to the end of its travel. 3: Repea...

Re: Slightly Odd Hesitation Issue

Ah, i'm used to fiddling with old stuff that's got dizzy caps and rotor arms and contact beakers, lol. Ok, I will have a look into that, is it expensive?

Slightly Odd Hesitation Issue

This morning I was driving to work along a dual carrigeway and put my foot down in 5th at about 65/70mph and the car hesitated for a second before picking up, however it only did this a couple of times, and was fine the rest of the journey, no matter how hard I tried to get it to do it. I had been d...

How to clean up headlight covers?

Hey guys and gals, my headlights are going a bit hazy, does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can polish them back up to clear. I looked at autoglym glass polish but it says its not suitable for plastics... Has anyone tried polishing theirs up?

Boot-lid sensor not working.

Hey guys and gals, The boot lid sensor on my GTi has stopped working, meaning that I don't get the warning light when its open, and when I open it the light doesn't come on, and of course the central locking doesn't recognise the fact that a door has been opened and the car re-locks itself. Is this ...

Re: Sidelight Change

They do need changing- one is gone and I normally always have my sidelights on (easier to see dials and easier to be seen)

Re: Sidelight Change

Doh! Totally missed that. Looks good, bookmarked, lol.

Also I was thinking of changing to white sidelights- are these any good? http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/501194t10-si ... -1614.html

If not are there any recommendations that are good?

Sidelight Change

Hi guys, I have a sidelight gone in my Polo, and have looked in the handbook about changing it but it says take it to a VW dealer- I had a look in the engine bay at the back of the unit but I couldn't see any way of removing the bulb, but Shirley there must be a much easier (cheaper) way than taking...

Great! CV joint just went!

I was out driving this afternoon and noticed a slight knocking that was steadily getting worse, so I limped home at about 30/40, but it finally let go on the High Street of the town I live in. I heard a loud clunk then all the ball bearings dropping out so had to stop :( Now i need to get it recover...
