Do all GTI's have headlight washers?
Mine has rusted quite badly along the bottom of the quarter panel and above the sill.

Verity's Reflex Silver GTI
That vinyl looks excellent Verity. I've seen a few cars with it done and sometimes you can see the original colour of the car in between the gap of the doors but you've made sure that's not the case here. Good job.

Looks like a nice little car there :) Cades Eros wheels are pretty cool! They'll look awesome with the car slammed I'm sure. I think colour coding the handles and bump strips would definitely look good too. Makes it look less like the other bottom of the range polos. Please don't do your vents white...

That foot rest looks absolutely brilliant. Did you do it yourself or did you purchase it that way?

Flat spot
Ant, I took my car out for a drive yesterday and noticed the flat spot in mine lasted until just after 3k revs. Where does yours last until?
I also noticed that whilst mine is there in all gears it's especially noticeable in 4th and 5th as Ben suggested. Is that normal?

Flat spot
Can't say for certain right now Ben but next time in in the car I'll test it out a bit. I've kind of just come to accept it and kept telling myself "oh it's probably just the leads or plugs, I'll sort it eventually" No VAGCOM errors at the last test either. However, OP I recommend checking...

Re: Flat spot
I've had a flat spot now between 2k - 3k for the last while. Haven't really sourced the problem but it's pretty annoying since that's where you spend most of your time when you're driving normally.

Nigel's GTI - The tale of the jumpy throttle continues...
Adjusted the cable as advised... It's raised my biting point to near enough the top of the pedal but everything is smooth now. I can lift off the accelerator without the car lurching as though I've double tapped the brakes. Cheers for the advice guys! Greatly appreciated :) let's hope that's it sort...

Just tighten it up? Or do I need to get someone to hold the pedal up at the same time?

Re: Nigel's GTI - The tale of the jumpy throttle continues..
A little has happened since I last posted... I think I posted about repairing my speakers? They're still doing just grand and sound a lot better now they've been fixed. I replaced my radio with another standard Gamma unit courtesy of Tim (thanks Tim!) just to get rid of the sticky buttons. I can't g...

Ah fair man. No i didn't do the detail myself - I had a friend do it as I haven't really got the time on my hands at the moment to spend detailing, plus i was at the time a little low on detailing supplies. @ben Not much more to be honest. In fact, I don't think I have done anything more since the ...

Sometimes it's a bit fiddly doing that too so keep at it until it eventually gives in and starts to come out

That looks really smart! Has the bumper got a little cut out to accommodate it too? Looks really neat. I never like seeing an exhaust hanging low with the back box on display to the car following you.
