HELP, suspension problem

Hi all,

Just taken our Fabia 1.4 16v (51 reg) in for it's MOT. Failed due to cracked bushes on the front suspension.

It's only done 25,000 and our mechanic says that there is no way these should have deteriorated so soon. He went in to the local dealership and, whilst he was waiting, heard one of ...

Exactly the same happens on mine! Whilst I appreciate this doesn't help you much, at least I can sympathise!! I did put this problem on here a couple of months ago and was told it could be a loose battery wire but I checked (and also had my mechanic check at mot time) and nothing seemed to be loose ...

Now I just have to choose which "choons" to go in the motor!

Thanks to everyone who helped.

Cheers,

On the instruction leaflet, it says pin a4 is the battery, pin a5 is the motor antenna, a7 is the ign or acc and a8 is the ground.

Any ideas which ones to switch around?

Help, I want my Christmas present to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I've removed my standard sony headunit and replaced it with a Panasonic CQ-C1300AN. This was the easy part, I just unplugged the sony and plugged the new unit in.

HOWEVER! When i turn the engine off, I lose all my radio settings and, when i turn it back on, it spits the cd out and I get the ...

Another Fabia owner here!

I drive the polo 6n and my wife drives the Fabia 1.4 16v. Can't think of anything bad to say about it. Fantastic car.

Got a bit of stick for buying it (old ones are the best!) but it's usually from people who drive Fords! Baa Baa!

side repeaters

Relaced mine today but I had to slide them back towards the door and then prise them out from the front. Easy to do then, take the orange repeaters of by holding the bulb fixture and twisting the light, then just pop the clear ones on in the reverse way.

Getting my clear front indicators tommorow ...

Front Bumper Spoiler.

I am replacing the metal piece of the spoiler that attaches under the front bumper. When I looked under the front arches, it looked as though this piece has been riveted in. The Haines Manual said that the spoiler should unclip or unscrew but didn't show how/where.

Any help greatly appreciated. BTW ...

Just bought the colour spray from the dealer and it was about £11.00. You get the colour spray and the laquer (i.e. two tins)

Spray cans aren't very big though!!

Rear Badge.

Does anyone know where I can get a Blue and White enamel VW badge that will fit in the slot on the back of my Mk4?

Failing that I could spray the existing badge blue with the white vw i suppose.

Read up on how to do it in the diy forum but where do you buy the adhesive remover from?

Also, what do ...
