Re: Service Indicator

Thanks for all the responses. Yes, I think this is the answer ... and just to clarify, the way you reset the service indicator on a 9n Polo is to depress the trip reset button with the ignition off, keep pressed and turn ignition on then turn to the right. This is as per the service manual and has ...

Re: Service Indicator

Exactly the same thing has happened to me! Car was serviced in October at 7k miles, it started flashing that there were 11000 to service, then rapidly diminishing ... and yesterday the INSP flashed up in the service indicator.

It sounds stupid - but I wonder if VW just forgot to reset the service ...

Correct Silver for 9N Polo Wheels? *Help Needed*

Hi,

Hope somebody can help me here: I have a 2006 1.4 Polo FSI Sport and one of the wheels has been (badly) refurbed prior to my buying it. I have discovered a specialist provider who can supply practically any wheel paint, but I'm stuck as to the correct colour. There is a "stock" silver metallic ...

Re: Mystery Ignition Problem

Thanks very much for that m8, I sort of thought that must be the problem too - I didn't know whether there was a seperate solenoid or it was part of the starter motor. In any event, I convinced the dealer that this must be the problem and they're fitting a new one (solenoid - not starter) and I pick ...

Mystery Ignition Problem

Hi, I wonder if anyone has any experience of this problem I'm having with my 2006 1.4 FSI Sport? On occasion the starter motor simply does not engage and all I get is a clicking sound coming from under the bonnet. Now, in days go past I would have said this was a faulty solenoid switch but truth be ...

Re: Discs??

I would have to agree with this. I've just bought a 2006 1.4 FSI Sport and although it's only got 7k on the clock, the rear discs are rusted to hell. I might have to change them .... no, I think I am defo going to have to change them. Any suggestions as to the best place? Are the Febi discs any good ...

Re: Hello from new Polo Owner ...

Thanks very much guys. Yes, am enjoying the car very much .... it's been standing for a few months though and the discs are very rusty. Might have to replace them, even though it's only done 7k :-(

Hello from new Polo Owner ...

Just thought I'd say Hi to the forum .... I've just bought a 2006 3-door 1.4 FSI Polo Sport in silverbird, just 7k on the clock and mint. Love her already! Have bought this car to replace my very old and battered 1995 Polo which I had for YEARS and has been a faithful companion.

My other [current ...
