Polo twist 54 plate with beta radio and cassette I bought a single cd player fitted it to beta radio with existing cables coming out of the back but the cd player doesen't work or even power up.I went to a vw main dealer and they say I need a seperate cable which powers up the cd player part ...

Where did you get that part number from?


I went into a vw dealer and he gave it to me in laws polo has a beta radio with cassette no cd so I got a single cd player connected it up but it wouldnt work ive been told I need a seperate power cable and this is the one I need to power up the cd player ...

We have noticed the car has rear drum brakes !!! Polo tdi twist 1.4 litre 75 PS registered October 2004
I would have expected rear discs --I have the original sales brochure from 2004 which says '1.4 litre/75ps diesel engine front ventilated discs Rear Discs' seems a bit strange does anyone else ...

The deed is done the troublesome 2002 1.9 sdi will be gone on monday lets hope the replacement is more reliable especially with winter round the corner and all the woes it can bring.Thanks for all your replies.

The car will be mainly used by the wife the lower power will be better for economy and insurance purposes just apity its still £120 a year to tax opposed to the newer models at £35 year !!!

VW polo 2002 wiper stalk for sale fully tested part number 6QO 953503 AD open to offers £6 postage.
One plastic lug missing but this doesnt affect operation in any way as its fastened with screws .

All sorted now second hand central electrics box from scrappie £41 (vw wanted £354)

Doorlock £30 from geoparts online (vw wanted £115) a few hours to fit everything __ Back on the road !!!!

Vw polo wiper/indicator stalk single unit from 2002 polo bought in error not used (problem was central electrics unit) bottom lug missing but not a problem as this fits onto the column.

Tested 100% working order £10 to buy £5 postage.Cheshire Area.
