Thanks for all the responses. i just sprayed the TB with carburetor cleaner and went out for a quick spin and the revs didnt drop anything. ill keep close eye over the next few days.

when i took the air filter housing off i noticed a hose next to the throttle body and loads of mayonaise inside it ...

ok. so is it most likely to be the throttle body? people have said it could be oxygen sensor, ht leads, dirty fuel system, cracks in leads etc etc. seems like there could be a number of things. i obviously waan keep the spending down to the minimum so is there anything i can do, like general clean ...

A couple of problems with my 6n

Guys,

I have had a problem with my polo cutting out. I've read about "erratic revs" but there seems to be no real solution.

Basically every time i pit the clutch down in either 1st or second gear, the revs drop to around 500 on a good day but most of the time it cuts out and stalls. I thought it ...

i was wondering if the clock and the mileage dials are supposed to be permantly on even when the engine is off?

na i see where your all coming from. but apart from the wheels being in a mess and couple of minor things, its mint :D the interior couldnt be more perfect if it tried. but you know whats its like... get a licence, you just wanna car and drive!

ahh nice one. just ordered some new clear front and side indicators. im going for the simple but good look. i dont want it to look like its been majorly overhauled. this week is agony tho.. i bought it sunday and i have to wait til saturday to pick it up after its been serviced/mot etc. longest week ...

just bought my first car. its a 1999 vw polo 1.0! there's a couple of things that need doing to it. my main priority is the wheels. they are in pretty bad contition. so i was thinking what can i put on it? i really like the polo gti wheels (BBS RX-II - off the mk5) but what size am i limited to ...
