Dealers said the same thing to me when I was looking. nothing in Lincoln or surrounding area for at least 2 months.

Local VW garages told me they would get one sent from anotehr dealer but I would have to pay the £500 "deposit" if they did and the only reason I would be able to reject the car was ...

Umm weird, I live near Lincoln and work in the centre and never seen another GTi around for months and months.

You know how you notice these things. It's not a local car judging by the registration.

Only other one I've seen for sale in this area was a right minger. It was a "W" Reg too but it was ...

Cool

It's nice to feel welcome!

My baby's looking excellent after 6 hours washing and polishing. That zimol really makes him look good.

Stored in the garage now out of the horrible rain.

When will it be nice enough to go for a drive.

Just got one of my alloys replaced by the dealer as corroded ...

Are there any physical external signs that we can look for as proof the replacement has been done?

Movement in the Gearbox

Hi there

Can anyone help me please.

Got my car back after the pedal box replacement and the movement I had in the gearbox prior to recall is still there!

If I rest my hand on the gear knob when driving, it moves about a bit.

Anyone else had this?

I though I read somewhere this was synonomous ...

My hubby got a letter from the DVLA saying that his registration was illegal and he had one more warning and then they would take the plate off him.

All we did to the plate was use an "L" upside down as a 7. Thespacing text and everything were OK. :o

Couldn't believe it after everything else you ...

I went last year with hubby and my sister and bro in law. Went on their VW Camper.

It was excellent fun. I'm not a camper by any stretch of the imagination so this was quite an experience!

Definately get yourself down into Newquay on the Saturday and Sunday afternoon's there's loads of VW ...

Cleaned - washed, polished, vacummed and blacked this morning and the black beast was gleaming.

Went for a spin into the village - and thy're pulling down the old factory ...

No not really just being a bit over enthusiastic and trying to find out as much as I can about my car.

Thanks for the link. I did do a bit of searching and realise that you'd already put something together on the forum - so sorry for asking an "old" question.

What do all the letter no ...

Made In.......!

I've just been checking out the VIN No. Interpretation site and according to this my Polo is made in Spain.

Is this right? Were they made in Spain! :?

Apparently the Y in my VIN no. means the manufacturing plant was Spain!

Anyone know any good VIN ID sites as the one I looked at was pretty ...

I've got it!

Well it's finally Monday. This week has gone so slowly!

I picked my car up from the dealers at 11.00 this morning and have only just got in!

I've been driving around just for the sheer fun of it. I love the car it's simply great.

Looks stunning in black despite the fact it's been trying to rain ...
