My gti still hasn't been given a build date yet, the tracker on vw website says 'order with the factory' I bet it gets delivered when there's a foot of snow in the uk! I'd be interested to know complete timescale for your gt's from order to build in spain to arrival at dealer..... I'm getting impati...

Hammerite is fine. I've used it a few times, no real need to buy special caliper paint.

After looking at the specification guide, it seems that the gti comes with bluetooth 'touch phone kit'.

I wonder if I could get the dealer to swap this for the 9W7 kit or get money off to be without it. Doubt it like... but maybe worth a try

It's up to us all to make the new new new new section better. In time it will be the one and only 6R polo forum! What about 205/55R 16 x 6.5 on a gti, found a good deal for some. That's a bit sh!t. You can buy a headunit for £50 with bluetooth and my current 6yr old jvc headunit has bluetooth.
This really should be standard, how much will vw want to from my pocket to put bluetooth on it?

You have to buy the car back unfortunately, but it only cost me 10% of what they valued it at. Very cheap for an immaculate gti with a bruised bumper!
Then i had to pay £42 for 'VIC' (vehicle identity check) was pretty simple.
