6R - Multifunction Steering Wheel Retrofit
So far it's all been easy peasy! Next it gets more than a bit fiddly as we connect the LIN bus wire. Some inhuman working positions are required, as well as the patience of a cow and the hands of a gynechologist. This is also where the bandages and tranquilisers can become handy... ;) The original w...

6R - Multifunction Steering Wheel Retrofit
These instructions are for retrofitting a multifunction steering wheel (MFSW) to a standard non-GTI Polo 6R. For a GTI the retrofit is a lot less complicated, see here . NB: I live in Finland where cars are left-hand-drive, so all pics and instructions apply to an LHD car. An RHD car can very probab...

No idea of UK prices, but here in Finland the parts were a little over 40 euros IIRC.
BTW, you can LED versions of the lamp (ebay), but for the interior I prefer the warmer tone of the incandescent bulb.

Re: New member - 2011 Polo 1.2 TSI
A bit fiddly to run the wires inside the dashboard at least in an LHD car, especially if you want to integrate the wires to the existing loom. But doable. I removed the A-pillar trim, glovebox and radio for better access. Easiest to connect the wires to the roof light connector's pins 1 and 2, that ...

Re: VW Offering LED DRL Retrofit
Gave my dealer a ring this morning, appararantly the parts are now available for the Golf but he said there was no mention of anything to do with LED Daytime Running Lights in the pipeline for the 6R Polo. http://www.volkswagen-zubehoer.de/fileadmin/pdf/pressetexte_2010/28072011_LED_Tagfahrl...

Re: Fog Lights
Check first to see if it can be retro fitted because I read on a few sites that it cant be done. Almost anything can be done but at what cost, that's another story...  I haven't looked into retrofitting since I ordered mine as a factory option, but is the "can't be done" beca...

I don't believe there's any difference between LHD and RHD foglights since the beam cut-off is flat.

Re: Exhaust Trim
I cant see my exhaust when looking at the back so would this be for me?? Part No: 6R0071910A Depends on what engine you have: 1.2 petrol with "invisible" exhaust (38mm) = 6R0071910A 1.2 TDI and 1.6TDI with "invisible" exhaust (55mm) = 6R0071910B So one of the two above for your ...

Not sure how much the LED numberplate lamp unit would be from the dealer, an alternative to sourcing one from your dealer is the link below. 24 Euros. http://www.vw-audi-shop.com/epages/61836527.sf/de_AT/?ObjectPath=/Shops/61836527/Products/1K8943021B I'm going to do this to my Polo after payday at...
