Re: Gti boot setting

I have had similar experience too of things going missing after a garage job.. saying that though I do remember when I was a rookie mechanic working alongside a very canny guy.....

Re: Gti boot setting
Aaaah the boot's floor platform!
I have a normal type in mine although not a wide tyre like a GTi (probably) I raised mine up as it is easier to get the shopping out of the boot.. LOL

Re: anyone tried LED interior replacement lamps?
Any LED w5w(interior light) and feston 37mm(makeup light) socket will work. No need for canbus in interior lamps, except in the trunk. Same in my old car. I bought a ton of different canbus w5w for the trunk that had glitchy connection, before replacing it with "WinPower Car Footwell Lighting ...

Re: anyone tried LED interior replacement lamps?
Really appreciate a genuine piece of advice.
I had heard of the interior light being no problem but it was generic information.
Grateful

Re: Is the 12v battery covered under VWs 3 year warranty?
I think mine is not dissimilar as in what seems to me to charging strangely (to me at least)
I notice sometimes that with the engine running the voltage on the DVM is 12v after going to 14.1 from start up or anywhere in between.. LOL

anyone tried LED interior replacement lamps?
I must admit I don't like the warm tone tungsten type lamps of the interior of my Polo AW (I'm not currently interested in the exterior lighting) There are many sellers saying they have Canbus compatible - so just wondering if anyone has had success or got around any difficulties fitting them.. erro...

Re: Sudden MPG loss
I have a 1 litre 3 cyl 95ps polo 2020, with just 30k on the clock. I have been quite used to seeing an indicated 58 - 60+ mpg. This has suddenly changed, and now shows a loss of approx 6mpg. Tyres OK - no brake binding - performance unchanged and good. Suggestions please (Mass airflow sensor??) wou...

Re: Is the 12v battery covered under VWs 3 year warranty?
Wow that was high for quite some time! The scan was useful to do. And get an actual fault discovered. The problem for me would be who to take the vehicle too as I have little confidence with local VW franchise. I had been talking to a friend who found a specialist locally who services his Mercedes a...

Re: Infotainment system stolen

I'm sorry this is happening to you again. some months ago it was Ford Fiesta and Vauxhall Corsa body parts body parts taken from Pay and Display c...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
@grazuncle2; I think it only affects Polos with rear discs, so if your car has drum brakes at the rear, then you should be OK. I get an occasional grinding before a FULL STOP but learned that that was the manoeuvring emergency brake prompted by the rear sensors.. horrible grinding noise at first..
